COMPOSURE BITE-SIZED CHEW
When
humans are exposed to new environmental stressors like a new job or the
in-laws visits, we can relax with a warm bath, a cup of tea, or a
soothing song. When cats and dogs are exposed to similar stressors (like
a car ride or a new baby), their options for relaxation are fewer.
Anxiety can run high in dogs who are unwittingly placed in different
environmental situations, causing actions like incessant scratching,
barking, urine marking or aggressive behavior. Composure Chews are
formulated to address these habits and the anxiety that leads to their
proliferation.
The Colostrum Complex difference
Composure
Chews contain three active ingredients. The C3 Colostrum Calming
Complex is isolated from proteins that have a calming effect on animals.
These colostrum proteins are bioactive and meant to work
synergistically with the L-theanine included to support cognitive
functions and stress reduction.
L-theanine and synergy
Composure
Chews contain 10.5 or 21 mg of L-theanine per chew, with respect to
size. An amino acid that support calming and relaxation, L-theanine has
been extensively researched for its abilities to reduce stress and
behaviors associated with it. L-theanine is a derivative of glutamic
acid—a neurotransmitter, and helps the body to product calming amino
acids like dopamine and GABA.
In
this formula, L-theanine and the Colostrum Complex work
synergistically. Because the complex is bioactive, it allows the body to
better potentiate a calming response. Studies on L-theanine show that
dogs performed less anxiety-related behaviors, but without drowsiness or
changes in personality.
Thiamine’s role
Composure
Chews contain 67 mg or 134 mg of thiamine (vitamin B1) per chew, with
respect to chew size (mini or regular). When an animal is deficient in
Thiamine, he can experience negative effects like mental confusion,
muscle weakness or spasms, and nervousness. Thiamine has been shown to
affect the central nervous system and to soothe and support relaxation.
Sans Herbs
Made
without herbal ingredients like Kava Kava, Valerian, St. John’s Wort,
etc., Composure Chew’s ingredients do not cause addiction, drowsiness or
impaired motor skills.

Composure
for dogs is available in a chicken liver-flavor bite-sized chew and can

What is Pheromone Therapy?
The
secret is a natural chemical produced by nursing dogs known as an
appeasing pheromone, which reassures puppies that they are safe and
secure. This pheromone reduces stress for both puppies and adult dogs by
providing them with a sense of safety and security. By relaxing and
comforting puppies and dogs, this pheromone helps control urges to bark,
whine and destroy surroundings.
