My kennel is located in Texas. I have been breeding and showing dogs for almost 30 years and have just finished my 29th champion. Many of my dogs have had dual titles, including one with a herding title. I usually have 2-3 litters a year and have two long-awaited breedings scheduled for this year.

Herrenstolz German Shepherds Kennel was established in 1967. Eleanor Wetgen, the owner and operator at Herrenstolz has been breeding German shepherd dogs for 40+ years. 

Over the years, we at Herrenstolz have purposely kept our operation small and focused on quality. Our kennels are located in a beautiful country setting with creeks, trees, many acres of grass fields, and plenty of room for the dogs to run.

At Herrenstolz, we specialize in producing puppies with excellent temperaments and working ability.

All breeding stock has been x-rayed and certified with the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) for hips and elbows. All animals are also AKC (American Kennel Club) registered. Puppies from our kennels are guaranteed to have good bones and excellent temperaments.

Our breeding stock is from the most prestigious European (Germany, Czech Republic, Belgium, etc) working and show bloodlines, which include the reputable breeds of Don Diego Vom Harten Kern, F'hiram-Abif Royal Bell, Zasko Vom Prielberg and Fiasko Vom Lowen Dom.
Our dogs are chosen for their great temperament, health, high level of intelligence and their beautiful body type. All of them possess strong bone structure, sound hips and elbows and the correct devices for steady movement and mentalities. Their high level of activeness and trainability allows them to have high-drive and at the same time not overly aggressive character.

Our passion for German Shepherd dogs is dating from the years of ‘90. First pedigree dog was bought in 2005, and since then we involved more and more into dogs training in our search for the true German Shepherd spirit.
Starting 2008 we incorporated our own Kennel, called “von Donauwolf”, member of Romanian Kennel Club (AChR), affiliated to Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI).
In the same time, we increased the number of the doghouses and acquired new dogs straight from Germany in order to fulfill our goal to obtain physically and mentally health German Shepherd for both Show and Working lines.
To get more insights into dog trainings, we attended workshops and training courses in Romania, Czech Republic and Germany. Same time we participated at dog shows in Romania and Slovakia.
In the future, we intend to participate more to club shows in the neighbor countries famous for the quality of German Shepherd dogs.

We are Anne and Jari Kurki from Preitilä in Finland (to Paimio ~ 5 km, Turku and Salo ~ 30 km). Our kennelname Kranichzug is allocated to us 2006. Our first litter was born already 2001. We have always been active with our dogs; training tracinkg, opedience, protection and for shows. We also enjoy our dogs as loving pets and member of the family, we are proud about them. We are also very proud about all the accomplishments with our dogs. We have had great succes on shows with our own dogs and with the dogs we have breed. Every combination that we breed is carefully concidered, always with the same goal, to breed healthy dogs for working and for shows.

Olemme Anne ja Jari Kurki Paimion Preitilästä (Turkuun ja Saloon noin 30 km). Harrastamme koiriemme kanssa monipuolisesti. Tutuiksi ovat käyneet niin pellot, metsät, koulutuskentät kuin näyttelykehätkin. Koemme, että saksanpaimenkoira sopii niin näyttöön kuin käyttöönkin!
