Before going home our puppies are exposed to gunfire, car rides, zip line, started on crate training, all sorts of surfaces such as tile, wood, glass, metal and more!, heights, different sights, different sounds using the Clix CD, porch stairs (puppies should not be climbing lots of steps all the time so we do not do large staircases until older), water as long as it's not frozen, woods, age appropriate agility equipment if the pups show they're ready to do this.

On their free time they're allowed free run of the backyard where there's a combination or shade, grass trees & dirt. where they can play as long as they want with the mother and litter mates. This part is so important since there are so many things humans can not replicated in which the mother teaches the pups.

We cover so many things that I'm sure I'm missing many things that aren't mentioned above!!!

Over Fifty years in German Shepherd dogs

I have owned German Shepherd Dogs for over 50 years, and been a part of the Fancy for 45yrs, so they have been a very large part of my life. I have been involved in breeding, training, and competing with German Shepherd Dogs in AKC Conformation, Schutzhund and AKC obedience.

I am a retired training center owner, professional trainer and groomer. At present I am a Canine Good Citizen evaluator and besides caring for my own dogs I am heavily involved in German Shepherd Rescue.

I Can't imagine life without a German Shepherd Dog but when that day comes I pray that my contribution to the breed will have been a good one.

História do Canil

 

1978 – Adquirimos o nosso primeiro cão pastor alemão com pedigree, uma cadela preta proveniente do Rio de Janeiro: “Danka von der Weisse Feder”.
1984 – Adquirimos Gely do Vale da Ribeira, e no ano seguinte, Nigéria do Vale do Paraíba. Era o início de nosso plantel.
1986 – Registramos nossa primeira ninhada sob o nome de canil “Guerra Guaranítica”.
1987 – Nigéria do Vale do Paraíba sagrou-se SG3 (Jr B fêmea), na COAPA, realizada em Santiago, Chile.
1988 – Nasce Panamá do Vale do Paraíba, que seria vencedor no Campeonato Brasileiro do ano seguinte em BH.

1989 – Adquirimos a reprodutora Nadia von Kisman, da criação Argentina.
1992 – Fanta de Guerra Guaranítica, vence sua respectiva classe no Campeonato Brasileiro em São Paulo.
1993 – Nossa cadela cinza, Nathalie de Guerra Guaranítica, venceria a Sieger em Curitiba, sob o julgamento do diretor de criação da SV-Alemanha: Sr. Ernest Beck.
1994 – Giselle de Guerra Guaranítica, sagrou-se Campeã Brasileira Sênior, em Brasília, sob o julgamento de Dr. Mário Dupin.

1997 – Wicy de Guerra Guaranítica torna-se vice campeã brasileira (Jr B fêmea).
1997 – Neste mesmo ano traríamos ao Brasil, o grande reprodutor Hero vom Wutachtal, irmão inteiro de Hella, mãe do Sieger VA1 Rikkor Bad-Boll. Hero fez história na criação brasileira, culminando com a conquista do Grupo de Progênie do Campeonato Brasileiro do ano seguinte.

Funda-se o Canil “von Ghattas”.

De história mais recente, o “Von Ghattas” surgiu como sucessor do sufixo “Guerra Guaranítica”.
Houveram novas aquisições ao plantel entre elas: Yullie Mönchberg (2001) e Ybsy von Kleine Holzchen, SG 11 Karlsruhe (2002).
