Here at Blackhaven Shepherds, we strive for the noble companion for anyone, be it conformation, obedience, agility or just a loyal and loving partner for your family.

We breed for companionship, trainability, loyalty, soundness, healthy minds and bodies, blacks and dark colours.

Our breeding stock are all certified, socialized, and only trained with positive reinforcement.

All pups are home raised and handled right from birth.

We are a small hobby kennel but we want to share with others our knowledge, experiences, love, dedication, commitment, and loyalty for these awesome animals called the German Shepherds (which we love to talk about).

We are a small group of serious Schutzhund trainers interested in quality training and dogs with the proper drives and temperament for the work. We are a dedicated group and therefore keep our membership smaller to ensure the level of training remains high. Canyon K-9 Club's Training Director is one of only a very few people in America to compete in the World Championship with a dog bred, raised and trained in the United States, has assisted in the training of a number of other dogs who have competed there as well and has over 34 years experience training in Schutzhund as both the handler and Training Helper
