Our
German shepherds come from some of Germany's finest bloodlines. All of
our imports are sound minded, intelligent, confident, loyal, and well
socialized. They are excellent family companions, personal protection,
show, agility, and working class dogs with excellent pedigrees.
We
realize that many people are drawn to this breed for various reasons.
This breed has a tremendous working drive. We try to nurture the dog’s
temperament and focus to be great companion dogs. It is important to us
that our litters go to loving homes.
THE SECRET OF OUR SUCCESS
We
provide home raised socialized German shepherd puppies. Our German
shepherd pups are smart, gorgeous and loving family companion. We feel
that it is important for the puppies to have hours of interaction with
people on a daily basis and to interact with the other German shepherds
here at Littleton German Shepherds. We believe that socializing the pups
from the start will ensure a smooth transition for the puppy and owner.
We raise our German shepherd puppies on the belief of the Critical Periods here at our Kennel.
Our dogs are truly a pack of dogs that live together and help with the puppies and keep the pack order.
It
is a beautiful sight to see the dogs running in sync with one another.
To seeing them rest, playing or laying around with each other.

The Haven Kennels
Our Breeding Philosophy –
The
Haven Kennels primary breeding goal is to produce German Shepherds with
sound and healthy confirmation; calm and stable temperaments; and high
trainability for use as service dogs. The German Shepherd breed is
highly suited for this work and German Shepherd puppies from Haven
Kennels breeding excel in this type of training.
We
believe that a well-bred German Shepherd is the best canine companion a
person can have. There are different types of German Shepherds, and
these types are very much divided by their country of origin and the
work that they were bred for.
At
Haven Kennels, we have taken what we consider “the best of both worlds”
approach to breeding by combining AKC and West German Showlines. I
feel that the AKC/GSDCA breeding practices have “Americanized” the dogs
too much. It is my opinion that the AKC dogs are slighter in stature
and more feminine looking but I also feel that the West German Showlines
have carried the rear angulation too far producing a severely roached
top line and over-angulated rear in some lines. Line breeding and
occasional in-breeding in the AKC Show Line dogs has caused a number of
health issues in the American dogs.

Taking
all these things into consideration we have chosen to breed the best
AKC lines, by thorough health, genetic and temperament testing, with
specifically chosen West German Showline dogs exhibiting sound
structure, excellent temperament and working capabilities. In the spring
of 2016 we whelped an amazing litter of 10 puppies of outstanding
quality proving that our breeding theories had merit. Our goal to
produce a German Shepherd Dog with strength and beauty, coupled with a
sound healthy body, stable temperament and high trainability has been
achieved and now we will work to maintain this breeding standard. We
feel we are producing the best German Shepherd for the average American
family to own.

Von Savannah German Shepherds
The
German Shephard Dog is the 2nd most popular breeds in homes today.
People love them for their intelligence, trainability, protection and
service work. Von Savannah is a small family of the highest quality West
German show line dogs. My dogs are known for their great temperament
and World class pedigrees. I only have one or two litters per year but
the puppies are from well respected and titled parents.
The
GSD requires daily exercise and enjoys activities with their family.
