San Diego Schutzhund Club

Our Family Oriented club is dedicated to the development of the TOTAL German Shepherd Dog and participates in and hosts Schutzhund Trials, Conformation Shows and Breed Surveys.

Established in 1981, the Club affiliated with the United Schutzhund Clubs of America (USCA) in 1982. In 1999, a second club was formed under the name San Diego Schutzhund Club - WDA. This club is associated with the German Shepherd Club of America - Working Dog Association. Although separate entities with different memberships, both clubs worked together to promote the German Shepherd Dog through schutzhund trials, conformation shows and breed surveys under a joint training program.

One of the earliest clubs in the southwest, we recently hosted our 45th schutzhund trial and 17th conformation show. In additional to hosting several regional events, the San Diego Schutzhund Club hosted the second USA Sieger Show in 1991 and the 2001 GSDCA-WDA North American Sieger Show.

Since our first trial, club members have trained over 30 dogs to SchH3 degrees with 23 individuals achieving entrance to the Schutzhund III club. Other accomplishments by club members include over 80 AD, 75 BH, 60 SchH1, 30 SchH2, 4 IPO3 and 3 FH1 titles.

Club members relax and brag about our dogs at our annual party and the many dinners honoring our judges. We also take time to socialize with our dogs. A favorite activity is a Wandertag - a day with our dogs in nature or on a group walk along San Diego bay, beside the beach or through our local parks.

We are proud of our accomplishments as a club, and welcome new German Shepherd Dog owners who desire to join us in our activities.

Here at vom Haus am Lerchenweg we have a specific breeding program that enables us to produce a German Shepherd that is not only striking in beauty, bust also has intelligence and strength at heart.  We follow very closely with the goals of the founder of the German Shepherd, Max von Stephanitz, had in mind when he purchased the first German Shepherd in 1899 and started the SV.  Herr Stephanitz taught us that the best German Shepherd was the one bred to be the "Golden Middle", this was the dog with beauty intelligence the heart to protect his herd, family.  Herr Stephanitz was quoted once for saying:

PATLAYICI MADDE TESPİT KÖPEKLERİ (Mayın tespit köpeği bu sınıfta yer almaktadır.)

Patlayıcı madde tespit köpekleri yanıcı ve parlayıcı olarak değişik suç örgütlerinin elinde bulunan ve kullanılan tüm patlayıcılara karşı eğitim almaktadır.

Patlayıcı madde tespit köpekleri patlayıcı maddeden yayılan koku moleküllerini yakalayarak patlayıcının yerini tespit eder ve köpek idarecisine yerini bildirir.

Ayrı bir branş adı altında ancak aynı sınıfta kara mayını tespit köpekleri de yer almaktadır.

Asıl görev tanımı budur.

Köpek idarecisi köpeğin vücut dili ve diğer alarm pozisyonlarından faydalanarak patlayıcı maddenin yerinin bulunmasına yardım eder. Patlayıcı maddenin yeri tespit edildikten sonra konu ile ilgili birimlere patlayıcının yeri konusunda bilgi verir.

Pet Services bu görev tanımlarına bağlı olarak patlayıcı madde tespit köpeği ve köpek idarecisi eğitir. Patlayıcı madde tespit köpeklerindeki eğitim eksikliklerini giderme ve geri besleme eğitimlerini yapar, konu ile ilgili uluslararası eğitim prosedürlerini takip eder ve uygular.

Koku eğitimindeki detektör köpekler için patlayıcı,uyuşturucu,ceset gibi koku ham maddelerini, bu kokuları yasal olarak NATO kuvvetlerine  temin eden sertifikalı, uluslararası SCİENT LOGİX firmasından elde eder ve eğitimlerde bu kokuları kullanır.

Patlayıcı köpeği idarecisi kursu yaklaşık 2 ay sürmektedir. Pet Services köpek idarecisi eğitir, istihdam etmez

 UYUŞTURUCU MADDE TESPİT KÖPEKLERİ.

Uyuşturucu madde tespit köpekleri, taşınması, satılması, bulundurulması kanunen yasak olan  organik ve sentetik tüm uyuşturucu, uyarıcı ve sedatif maddelerin yerini (tırmalayarak ya da havlayarak) uzman köpek idarecisine gösterir.

İdareci, bulunan malzemenin içeriği ve yeri konusunda gerekli diğer bildirimleri amir, üst, ya da görevlilere bildirmekle mükellef ve kanunen zorunludur.

Firmamızda eğitim verilen köpekler için ana koku maddesi olarak NATO ve USA güvenlik birimlerinde kullanılan Scentlogix-K-9 koku ürünleri ve koku imitasyonları kullanılmaktadır.

Tüm tecrübelerimiz bize göstermiştir ki, köpek timlerinde karşılaşılan problemlerde ana etken eğitimsiz personeldir.

Uzman köpekleri bilgisiz ellerde kullanmak güvenlik riskini yükselteceği gibi AMACINA UYGUN hareket EDİLMEMİŞ olacaktır.

Bunların önüne geçmek için köpeğin idare edileceği alanda çalışacak personel köpek satış fiyatına dâhil olmak kaydı ile iki hafta boyunca tesislerimizde ücretsiz eğitime tabi tutulacak, başarılı olanlar sertifikalandırılacaktır.

Tüm bu detaylar ve yurtdışı deneyimlerimiz göz önüne alındığında, güvenlik risklerini minimumda tutacak timlerimizle sizlere hizmet vermek bizleri mutlu edecektir.

FİZİKİ GÜVENLİK KÖPEKLERİ

İdarecisi ile uyum içinde güvenlik riski olan noktalarda %100 kontrol altında tutulan bu köpekler ihtiyaç anında her hangi biri kişiyi yakalamak ve etkisiz hale getirmek için kullanılırlar.

SPOR KÖPEKLERİ.

Yaptıkları uzmanlık alanlarının ulusal veya uluslararası hakemler ve belli kurallar doğrultusunda sınav usulüne uygun puanlama yaparak birbirleri ile yarışan köpeklere spor köpekleri denir.

Spor köpekleri değişik branşlarda çiftliğimizde eğitilmektedir. Aldıkları eğitimler doğrultusunda KIF, FCı ve gerekli diğer dernek yada federasyonlar tarafından sınav yapılarak değerlendirilmektedir.

İNSANİ YARDIM KÖPEKLERİ

Tamamen gönüllülük esasına dayalı kar amacı gütmeden eğitilen İNSANİ YARDIM KÖPEKLERİMİZ özellikle arama kurtarma konusunda uzmanlaşmış bir kadro ile eğitilmektedir.Arama kurtarma köpekleri dışındaki branşlarda da yurdun değişik noktalarında  hizmet ederek ülkemiz insanına olan desteğimiz artarak biyiyecektir.
