Sundown Kennels, located on the outskirts of Little Rock, Arkansas, is committed to offering a full range of boarding and training services. Our facilities were custom designed and built for the medium to large dog. The owner, Mike Yarnell, has had extensive experience training dogs for obedience, competition, and law enforcement services.

Mike's first German Shepherd Dog Cisco had problems that kept him from entering the working or show ring. Disappointed with the breeder who might have revealed the problems, Mike committed to opening Sundown Kennels and to begin a breeding program that would improve the GSD breed and educate owners. His breeding program was conceived with quality imported GSD lines. And now, more than 20 years later, Sundown Kennels has grown to include breeding, boarding and training services offered to families and law enforcement programs.

IT WAS THEN THAT MY APPRECIATION FOR THE GERMAN SHEPHERDS SKILLS AND INTELLIGENCE WAS DEEPENED. A PROPER GERMAN SHEPHERD IS TRULY AN ALL PURPOSE DOG.

We are a small hobby breeder in Topeka, Kansas specializing in breeding large, smart, even tempered German Shepherd Dogs.  We are small, but growing one carefully chosen breeding at a time.  Each year we will add another German Shepherd to our breeding program as we build our line.

You can expect a German Shepherd puppy from Cunningham German Shepherds to be well bred, healthy and well socialized with children.  We extend lifetime breeder support to all of our new puppy owners which means we will always be available to answer questions and help in any way we can.
